Parents need to ring the school office before 8.45 am if their child is to be absent or late. There is an answerphone and the St Mary’s Blenheim – School App available for this purpose.

When your child is unwell please keep them at home to give them the best chance of recovery and to protect those at school. A note of explanation or email from the parents should be sent to school when the child returns.

If you are aware your child will be absent from school for an extended period please send a letter/email of explanation and dates prior to the event.

Teachers do not provide work for students when they are away sick or away for long periods.

Collecting, Signing In/Out Students

Students are expected to remain in the grounds at all times from the time they arrive in the morning until 3pm.

Should parents/caregivers wish to take their children during the day for appointments, they need to come straight to the front office and sign their child out. Then the child will be called to the front office to be collected. Children are not permitted to wait at the gate for their parents/caregivers.

Should the children return to school they need to be signed back in.

As part of our Health & Safety procedure, we are required to know where your children are at all times. By following this procedure we will know where your child is and be able to make adjustments if the need arises.
